Private Viewings
Through photography, education, writing, and installation-based artwork, Private Viewings explores intimacy as a creative practice — identity, embodiment, desire, memory, liberation, and imagination, through the lens of Black experience and creative self-authorship. Each offering is an invitation into a deeper encounter with what it means to be seen.

Areas of Inquiry
The Questions Behind the Work
- What happens when intimacy becomes a creative practice?
- How do artists reclaim authorship of their own identities?
- What can shadow, desire, and contradiction teach us about ourselves?
- How does imagination shape collective futures?
- What becomes possible when performance gives way to presence?
These questions appear across exhibitions, photographs, workshops, conversations, and essays.

Invitations Into Deeper Self-Recognition
Photography remains one of the primary mediums through which Private Viewings explores identity and self-perception. Portraiture, boudoir, conceptual work, and collaborative artistic projects each serve as an invitation.
